Site Migrations
We are now 1½ years and 234 sites into the site migration phase of moving from Reason to WordPress. (We’ve also identified 137 sites that won’t need to be migrated.) Our goal for this calendar year is to get the rest of the key administrative sites moved so we are primarily operating on WordPress by January 2021.
In order to accomplish this, we hope to migrate the following sites yet this calendar year:

Custom Applications
In addition to migrating sites from Reason to WordPress, we are also working with departments to identify the best solution for functional needs that were previously met by Reason custom applications. We’ve rebuilt, discontinued, implemented 3rd party, or found an existing tool that better fits the needs to replace 19 Reason custom applications so far, with many more in progress.
Examples of this work include: Campus Directory, Admissions, Athletics, Giving Form, CarlTown, Faculty Review, Post Office Package Management, and IRB applications.
We know that this is a very difficult time for many (maybe most) departments, and we are doing our very best to work with you at the best possible time for your area. We must continue to push forward with Web2020 in order to move off of infrastructure that is old and can no longer be updated, and to get Carleton operating on one CMS platform instead of straddling two. We appreciate your patience and your partnership!
