When on-campus classes were canceled this spring, Oscar Christoph ’22 took a few moments to mourn the loss of a track season, Spring Concert, and Frisbee on the Bald Spot. And then he got to work. A collegiate powerlifter with no place to train, Christoph—leveraging set-building skills he honed as a student worker in the theater department—put together a backyard gym in Tacoma, Washington, made out of concrete and wood. His mother, Julie Christoph ’93, happily gave up her side yard for the cause and took action shots in early May.
