The Class of 2020 returned to campus in August to participate in a long-awaited in-person commencement celebration, along with several events that had to be canceled when spring term 2020 ended abruptly due to the pandemic.
Two years later, the Class of 2020 finally experienced Rotblatt, Spring Concert (aka Sproncert), Farmstock, Senior Banquet, Last Chance Dance, and other milestone events. More than 75 percent of the class returned for the weekend and more than 1,100 guests attended Sunday’s commencement ceremony. The celebration provided a unique opportunity for the alumni to be seniors again.
Speaking at the Sunday ceremony, President Emeritus Steve Poskanzer said: “A gap is being filled, a promise fulfilled, and something that was broken is being repaired…. You are tightly bound forever in a rare, profoundly meaningful way.”
Multiple events throughout the weekend gave the Class of 2020 an opportunity to reconnect with friends and mentors after more than two years apart.
