All TRIO students will complete an Individual Success Plan (ISP) at the beginning of the year outlining their requirements for each term.
Required participation*:
First Year
- Meet with your TRIO advisor three times per term
- Attend TRIO/SSS first-year retreat
- Attend all first-year workshops (see event calendar)
- Attend at least one social/cultural TRIO event each term, and other activities as interested (see event calendar)
- Attend one Peer Leader Event per term
- Complete one iGrad activity per term
Second Year
- Meet with your TRIO advisor at least twice per term
- Attend at least one TRIO workshop per term, including the required Writing Portfolio Workshop during winter term (see event calendar)
- Attend at least one TRIO social/cultural event each term (see event calendar)
- Complete one iGrad activity per term
Third Year
- Meet with your TRIO advisor twice per term
- Attend at least one TRIO workshop each term (see event calendar)
- Attend at least one TRIO social/cultural event each term (see event calendar)
- Complete one iGrad activity per term
Fourth Year
- Meet with your TRIO advisor once per term
- Attend at least one TRIO workshop each term (see event calendar)
- Attend at least one TRIO social/cultural event each term (see event calendar)
- Complete one iGrad activity per term
Additional Opportunities:
- Talk to peers and alumni about succeeding at Carleton
- Check out textbooks from our lending library
- Serve as a mentor or peer leader
- Attend social and cultural events on and off campus
*Please note that these are the minimum requirements that need to be met. Acceptance to TRIO can be rescinded if student participation is not satisfactory.
