Transportation Options

Please note: The new pickup and drop-off location for most Carleton transportation options is now the new Carleton Bus Stop, located just off Nevada and 1st St., in front of Anderson Hall.

Campus Go

Campus Go is a shuttle service that provides students with transportation in Northfield to medical appointments, pharmacies, or local volunteer and work sites.

University of Minnesota (Dinkytown)

Northfield Lines provides service Friday through Sunday to the University of Minnesota. Carleton students can purchase discounted tickets.

Minneapolis Airport & Mall of America

Northfield Lines offers buses to and from MSP International Airport and Mall of America at the beginning and end terms.

Hiawathaland Transit (Red, Blue, and Express Routes)

Hiawathaland Transit offers several transportation options for Carleton faculty, staff, and students in Northfield and the surrounding area.

Medical (non-emergency)

Carleton students are eligible for non-emergency transportation to a doctor, dentist, therapy, counseling or a pharmacy within the city limits of Northfield.

Medical (emergency)

Call 911 for emergencies. Security can call an ambulance or provide ride vouchers for concerns that are not life-threatening.

Walk or Bicycle

Many Northfield destinations are within walking or biking distance of campus. Register your bicycle if you plan to use it on campus.

Safe Escort

Carleton Security Services provides a walking escort service 24 hours a day for Carleton students, faculty and staff.

Carleton Fleet Vehicles

Carleton vans and cars are available for college business to students, staff, and faculty.
