Carleton College is committed to fostering an environment free of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other sexually inappropriate conduct. Maintaining an informed and engaged community is an important part of this commitment. Below are links to several types of data and reports concerning incidents of sexual misconduct involving Carleton students, employees, or visitors.

Please note that each of the below reports measures different data and often utilizes differing time frames (calendar year versus academic year, for example). Carleton’s Annual Report to the Community will contain the most comprehensive data regarding reports made on our campus.

Carleton Annual Report to the Community

Each year, the Carleton community is informed of sexual misconduct complaints and adjudication findings, broken down by term. If you have questions about these reports, please direct them to Carleton’s Title IX Coordinator.

HEDS Sexual Assault / Campus Climate

The HEDS Sexual Assault/Campus Climate Survey asks students about their perceptions of their campus’s climate for unwanted sexual contact and sexual assault, their perceptions of how their institution responds to sexual assaults, and whether and how often they have experienced unwanted sexual contact or sexual assault. The survey has been offered to Carleton students in 2015, 2018, and 2021.
