The Tempest, directed by Carleton alum (’66) Ed Berkeley opened the new Weitz Theater with four “sold out” performances.  The production featured music by David Kornfeld (’11) directed by Alex Bruntsentsev (’10).

In winter term, David Wiles directed Farragut North. It’s a play by Beau Willemon, loosely based on the Democratic campaign of Howard Dean. 

Spring 2012 brought a collaboration of Carleton Players and the acclaimed repertory dance company, Semaphore, to produce Oresteia for five nights in May. Ruth Weiner, assisted by Judith Howard and Jane Shockley, directors of Semaphore, presented a newly-adapted version of the Greek tragedy. Rob Hardy provided the adaptation.
