Carleton’s Semaphore Repertory Dance Company’s Outstanding Showing at the American College Dance Conference!
5 April 2024During Spring Break, The Carleton Semaphore Repertory Dance Company, (Aadi Akyianu ’25, Mem Awad ’24 , Claudia d’Aiuria ’24, Han Han ’24, Moe Kojima ’24, Emilie Scott ’24, and Natialie Tatar ’26) along with Faculty Directors Judith Howard and Daphne McCoy, presented their work before a national panel of adjudicators at the American College Dance Conference, held this year at St Olaf College.
The company performed in the adjudicated concert with works by guest artist Elayna Waxse, and by senior Dance Major Claudia d’Auria. Moe Kojima performed an original solo in the Informal Concert. The students and faculty participated in numerous dance classes and attended multiple concerts. The dancers excelled in stellar performances and will bring that inspiration to the upcoming Spring Dance Concert on May 17, 7:30 and May 19 at 2pm. Tickets will be available to reserve.
