Tamara Ober graduated from the University of MN with a BFA in Dance, BA in Sociology. She joined Zenon Dance Company in 2002 where she has worked with over 30 national and international, emerging and world-renowned choreographers, touring to New York, St. Petersburg and Budapest.

Tamara has consulted in the development of programs for the Northrop Auditorium, ICLA’s new masters program in Austria, and multidisciplinary project at the Perpich Center for Arts Education. In 2009, she created critically acclaimed dance theater work ‘Pipa’, which toured across Canada, to Budapest, and Seattle. Tamara produced “FLESH” for the 2011 MN Fringe Festival, and “Sin Eater” in 2012, which was awarded the “People’s Choice Encore” and “Best Dance” of the MN Fringe. She has also been awarded ‘first-runner-up Best English Language Production’ in Montreal, 5 Stars from CBC Winnipeg, Minneapolis Sage Award for Outstanding Performer, Twin Cities Best Artist 2009 in City Pages, and Metro Magazine’s 2011 ‘Keeper Award’.
