Transferring Files with Enhanced Mosaic

Enhanced Mosaic provides an easy way to get files through the Internet. Any document you can open, you can transfer to your local workstation through the network. You can also download files from many FTP servers.

Transferring Text and HTML Files with Enhanced Mosaic

You can save any open document that you are viewing with Enhanced Mosaic as either a text file or an HTML file:

  1. Start Enhanced Mosaic. A document window opens, displaying the home page.
  2. Click the Save As toolbar button or choose Save As... from the File menu.

The Save As dialog box appears.

  3. Select the file type (HTML or text) from the Save File as Type drop-down list.
  4. In the File Name field, enter the name of the new file.
  5. Click OK or press Enter.

If you select HTML, the HTML embedded codes remain in the file you transfer to your local workstation. This allows you to browse and print them with the original formatting.

Transferring Files with FTP Using Enhanced Mosaic

If you are browsing an FTP server, you can download files that the FTP server indicates are downloadable by clicking the file name. The procedure is:

  1. Start Enhanced Mosaic.
  2. Open the document linked to the FTP server.
  3. Click the name of the file you want to download.
  4. When prompted, enter a file name.
  5. Click OK and the file transfers to your workstation.

For more information on Enhanced Mosaic, refer to Chapter 4, Browsing the World Wide Web.
