If Enhanced Mosaic has been configured to use a news server, Enhanced Mosaic can function as a newsreader. To configure Enhanced Mosaic for reading news, refer to "Selecting a News Server" on page 288.

• To list the available newsgroups, type news:* in the URL field. An alphabetical list of newsgroups with brief descriptions is displayed. Click a newsgroup name to list the articles in that newsgroup.
• To access a particular newsgroup, enter a news URL of the form news:group. For example: news:news.announce.newusers.

  Note

  Unlike other URLs, news URLs do not include slashes (//) after the colon.

• When you first access a newsgroup, the subject lines of the first 20 articles are listed. Click a subject line to display the full article. If an article is related to other messages, links to the related articles are provided.
• To specify the range of articles to list, type the URL of the newsgroup, followed by a slash and the range of articles. For example: news:news.answers/38179- 38190.
