Saving and Printing Documents

You can save or print any open document. Enhanced Mosaic lets you save documents either as HTML or ASCII files.

Saving Documents

To save an open document:

  1. Click the Save As toolbar button or choose Save As... from the File menu.

    The Save As dialog box appears.

  2. In the File name field, enter the name of the new file.
  3. Click the Save button or press Enter.

Printing Documents

To print an open document:

  1. Click the Print toolbar button or choose Print from the File menu.

    The Print dialog box appears the first time you print. (Otherwise, printing begins immediately.)

  2. If the Print dialog box appears, set the printing options as appropriate.
  3. Click the OK button or press Enter.

Changing the Page Layout of Printed Documents

To change the page layout of printed documents:

  1. Choose Page Setup from the File menu.

    The Page Setup dialog box appears.

  2. In the Page Margin fields, enter the margin measurements in inches.
  3. In the Page Header and Page Footer fields, type the appropriate variable to print the information you want to include. The available variables are:

    &w - window title

    &U - URL

    &d - date (for example, Feb 24 1996)

    &D - date (for example, 24 Feb 1996)

    &t - time (for example, 05:30 P.M.)

    &T - time (for example, 17:30)

    &p - current page number

    &P - total number of pages

    && - single ampersand (&)

  4. Click the OK button or press Enter.

Changing the Size of Printed Text

To change the size of printed text:

  1. Choose Preferences from the Edit menu.

    The Preferences dialog box appears.

  2. Choose Fonts from the drop-down list.

    The Fonts panel appears.

  3. Choose the desired font size for printed text from the Printer Font Size drop-down list.
  4. Click OK.

    The Preferences dialog box closes, returning you to the document window.
