Community Science Water Testing for the Cannon River

Sun, June 1, 2025 • 4:00pm - 5:00pm (1h) • Meet us at the Goodsell Observatory and we'll take a short walk to the Second Street Bridge and Bridge Square.

If you're interested in environmental conservation, chemistry, biology, or just generally want to hang out by the river for a while, we'd love for you to come along! We track various metrics of river health, including dissolved oxygen and nitrate levels, temperature, and turbidity. Our data contribute to statewide efforts from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, and we'd love to show you how to take samples. No prior experience is needed!
