This boul is different. Came up in Philly where you either catch the disc or catch these hands. Dude showed up to NoFo talkin bout “yeah bro I’m just tryna spread the rock” like he’s on the Sixers practice squad. Sometimes, Joel forgets which side he’s cutting to, but he’ll yell “my fault mud” before anyone even says a word.
He plays like every rep might be his last, eyes wild, talking about “trust the process” or “vert stack” mid-point. Half the time he’s cooking defenders, half the time he’s running cuts only he understands, but either way, he looks (mostly) confident doing it. Joel has also been spending lots of time in our team-house living room (good rookie), doing his best to minimize his and everyone else’s ability to do their homework.
