Carleton awards need-based scholarships to students participating in off-campus studies programs. All scholarships are drawn from funds given by individual donors, many of them in honor or in recognition of someone who had an impactful off-campus study experience. Carleton maintains a common application process for all of the funds, and awards students the maximum amount they are eligible for, given the availability of funds and the number of applications in any given term.
