The Office of Health Promotion is dedicated to promoting the well-being of all Carleton students. We focus on four priority areas: mental health and well-being, alcohol and other drugs, sleep, and sexual health. OHP offers both active and passive programming and education in each of our priority areas. Click on the links below to learn more about some of our specific programs:

  • Mental Health Training – OHP offers in person and online training for students, faculty, and staff in recognizing signs and symptoms of mental health concerns in self and others and responding appropriately to those concerns.
  • Happy Hour – this course teaches positive psychology and mental well-being skills
  • BASICS/CASICS – OHP offers students the opportunity to explore their alcohol or cannabis use in a nonjudgmental setting and then set goals for their use.
  • Sleep Coaching – students who are struggling to get enough sleep or to have quality sleep can sign up for this peer led experience.
  • SWA Dogs – trained therapy dogs come to campus regularly to provide students with an opportunity to relax and reduce stress.
