The Dean of Students Office serves as a support mechanism for students who have consistent concerns with academic challenges, sense of belonging, personal struggles, and adjustments to college life. The student’s Class Dean serves as a liaison to help navigate communication between students and faculty, including cases of absences, general course concerns, adjustments to deadlines, and end of term extensions. They also provide support services such as academic/educational counseling and referrals to on and off campus resources.
Parents/Guardians to students can consult with a Class Dean regarding any questions or concerns about student life at Carleton. Students will need to sign a FERPA release form should a parent/guardian want specific information regarding their student.
