What drew you to Carleton College? “I was inspired to come to Carleton when I saw how invested the entire community is in supporting students to go after their goals- faculty, staff, alumni. It’s really a special thing to have so many people cheering for and willing to support students.”
Briefly describe your role at Carleton. “I have the privilege of leading the team in the Career Center, where we support students in their career exploration and preparation for life after college. My role will include a variety of tasks including helping to set the direction of the office, supporting students through advising and programs, and interacting with faculty, staff, alumni, families, and friends of the College to offer innovative opportunities and resources to students.”
What excites you most about being part of the Carleton community? “I am excited to get to know Carleton students personally. I’ve heard from nearly everyone just how curious and creative our students are. I am eager to learn about the futures that Carls envision for themselves and to partner with them to realize those goals.”

Annanya Sinha ’25 (they/them)
Major: Gender, Women’s & Sexuality Studies, Psychology
Annanya Sinha, a senior majoring in gender, women’s, and sexuality studies and psychology, was elected to the Mortar Board National Honor Society’s National Council as the Student Representative At-Large in July 2024. Mortar Board is a prestigious national honor society that recognizes college seniors for their outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and service. The National Council plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the Society. Its members are volunteers who serve two-year terms. Alongside officers, National Council members representing alumni and collegiate chapters are elected by delegates from various collegiate chapters.
Student representatives at-large represent the interests of nearly 5,000 collegiate members on the National Council. They gain insights into the Society’s operations, connect with distinguished members and alumni, network with other student leaders and professionals, and contribute to shaping Mortar Board’s future.
