New Year and New Term!

As you begin your winter term, consider tapping into free resources to support your wellbeing from the very start.

  • Light Box. The increased darkness of winter can impact your mood and your sleep. A light box can give you the boost you need – rent one from the Office of Health Promotion (OHP) or Student Health and Counseling (SHAC).
  • Activity Tracker. Gather some data to understand your sleep or track your steps each day.
  • Group Therapy. Get support through community while you work on your needs.  Check SHAC’s website for current groups.
  • Sleep Coaching. Achieving your sleep goals is much easier with support. Chat with a peer sleep coach to make a plan.
  • Yoga Mats. Looking to boost your physical health in the new term with movement, stretching, mindfulness, or other practices? Rent a yoga mat for the whole term.
  • Winter Exercise. Try ice-skating or broomball on the Bald Spot. You can even rent cross-country skis or snowshoes through the Rec Center.
  • Finances. Check out the Student Financial Literacy Series or do some self-paced financial skill-building through iGrad.
  • Looking for something else? Just search the Student Resource Guide – a centralized resource to help you find what you are looking for!

You can also check out the SWA Stall on Winter Self-Care in restrooms across campus.  Have a wonderful start to the new term and new year!
