Student Life Peer Committee
Student Life offices hired their Peer Leaders for the 2022-2023 academic year. On May 11, the Peer Leader committee hosted a celebration for current and incoming Peer Leaders, followed by an Orientation for Peer Leaders who will be on staff this Fall. Student panelists Cas Roland ’22, Maya Rogers ’22, and Binny Onabolu ’23 did a fabulous job talking about their experiences as Peer Leaders during the Orientation.
Student Life Professional Development Committee
During Spring Term there were three Student Life cohorts (a cohort is a small group of Student Life staff members who have signed up to meet three to four times during the term to discuss and learn about a particular topic). Cathy Carlson facilitated a “walk and talk” book cohort to discuss the book iGen while walking around campus. Betsy Lane-Getaz and Julia Uleberg facilitated a cohort focusing on Koru mindfulness and meditation skills. And Chad Ellsworth and Dia Taliaferro coordinated a cohort to build community among new staff members, while learning more about Carleton and making connections across campus.
