Campus celebrates Disability Awareness Week
The Office of Accessibility Resources (OAR) and the Division of Inclusion, Equity, and Community are excited to launch Carleton’s Disability Awareness Week during the fourth week of winter term, January 26th-30th. OAR is collaborating with offices across campus, including the Division of Student Life. The week will include programming and education to help students and the broader Carleton community explore disability and accessibility as they relate to our campus and community. Throughout the week, OAR will highlight programs and resources, create space for students to explore their identities and experiences, and educate the campus on a variety of topics.
- Come find OAR tabling with campus partners in Sayles all week
- Join OAR and the Gender and Sexuality Center for a Tea Time exploring intersectionality
- Take a break with OAR, the Office of Health Promotion, and Gould Library, to engage in self-care while learning about sensory support
- Attend OAR’s workshop on advocacy
- And much more!
OAR and other offices will highlight their work related to disability and accessibility, so keep an eye on OAR’s Instagram page (carleton_oar). Check out the OAR newsletter for a full rundown of events and see their events page for details about all programs.
