Minnesota Alliance With Youth Tabling at Sayles
Are you looking for a way to launch your career in nonprofit, education, social work, or school counseling?
Minnesota Alliance With Youth is a nonprofit that brings people together in service across generations to make Minnesota a place where all young people can thrive. Through service, they develop leaders who foster young people’s individual assets, honor their voices, and prepare them to reach their goals.
They offer the following two programs:
- Groundwork Fellows
Through the Groundwork Fellows program, AmeriCorps members help maintain and strengthen the network of organizations that support young people throughout Minnesota.
- Promise Fellows
Through the Promise Fellows program (Student Success Coach), AmeriCorps members spend a year helping a small group of Minnesota students in grades 6 to 12 get the education they need to start off strong in life.
Ever wonder where a Carleton degree can actually take you? Stop by the Sayles tables and chat with Camille Braun ’16, Promise Fellow Program Manager. Camille just completed her PhD in Hispanic Literature and Culture at the University of Minnesota this past October. Following graduation from Carleton as a Spanish major, with a French and Cross-Cultural Studies minor, she joined AmeriCorps. Doors have been opening for her ever since.
Also joining Camille is Alex Soth, Director of Recruitment. Stop by to learn how the program could help guide your career path!
