Sexual Assault Awareness Month - Clothesline Project closing
Join us for a closing event for our sexual assault awareness month community art project. We have organized a space that aims to center the stories of survivors of sexual assault and relationship violence, experienced firsthand or witnessed by loved ones. The space has existed as a series of t-shirts connected on a clothesline in line with a nationally recognized “clothesline project”, which honors survivors and humanizes their experiences through clothing.
We hope that it has helped to create support and community through words and visuals, and we hope it has been a meaningful way to recognize the impacts of sexual violence in our community.
We welcome you all to join us for its closing during common time (12-1) on May 1st. Snacks will be provided and we will recognize the contributions of those in our community and offer an opportunity to create any other additions to the project.
