Lavender Celebration
The Gender & Sexuality Center is excited to announce our Lavender Celebration, formerly called the GSC Senior Celebration! This is a program that honors and celebrates LGBTQIA+ Carls who will be graduating as members of the class of 2025!
The Lavender Celebration will take place during Senior Week on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 at The Great Hall. There will be a pre-reception mixer with refreshments from 11:30 am-12:00 pm. At 12:00 pm there will be a Welcome from GSC staff, lunch, followed by a program celebrating LGBTQIA+ graduating Carls. Register now!
At the Lavender Celebration, LGBTQIA+ graduates will receive a Carleton College LGBTQIA+ Pride Stole that they can wear during Commencement along with a special gift from the GSC! The Pride Stole is not required to wear during Commencement. We understand that not all graduates may not want to or be able to wear a Pride Stole at Commencement. There will be opportunities to wear the Pride Stole for photo ops with friends at the Lavender Celebration! Yes, we will have a photobooth!
In honor of this occasion, there will be special remarks given by seniors, staff, faculty, and the Out After Carleton (OAC Board). This event intends to bring LGBTQIA+ seniors together in community and celebration for all that you have accomplished throughout your time at Carleton.
We are asking LGBTQIA+ Seniors that wish to participate in Lavender Celebration to complete the following LAVENDER CELEBRATION REGISTRATION FORM. We want to account for the number of stoles that we need to order, the food for the program, dietary needs, seating, accessibility, etc.

Seniors, please register by May 16th if you wish to receive a Lavender Stole.
Guests can REGISTER using this separate form. We ask that everyone register by May 31 as we want to account for food and seating.
