Burton Hall
117 College Street North, Northfield, Minnesota 55057
Burton Hall was built in 1916 and is located on the west side of Carleton’s campus. It has four main residential floors and a basement corridor with a spacious laundry facility. Burton is composed of single, double, and triple occupancy rooms, all with unique and widely appreciated structural features. Conveniently located on the west side of campus, Burton anchors Davis Hall and Severance (Sevy) Hall, which together, are known as The Complex. The Complex is also conveniently connected to Burton Dining and Carleton’s student center, Sayles Hill.
Each residential floor hosts a large furnished lounge and full kitchen. The first floor lounge is a common programming space as it has a walk out patio which faces the river. You will often find students playing frisbee or spike ball in the Burton lawn. Varsity Athletes especially seek out this location given its proximity to West Gymnasium and the Stadium.
