A small community on the southwest side of campus, Hunt Cottage offers a more independent living environment with easy access to both campus and downtown Northfield. Hunt Cottage has a sizable common space as well as a front porch. Hunt Cottage currently houses La Casa del Sol interest community.
La Casa del Sol (Hunt Cottage) is a house designed to serve both the Latino community on campus, as well as the larger Carleton community, through education and programming. La Casa is an integral part of the Latino community at Carleton because it encourages academic success and community development. All Carleton students are invited to apply to live in the La Casa and to participate in all programs and meetings. Applications can be found on the OIL website.
