On Campus Commencement Guest Housing: Carleton College offers limited housing in Goodhue Hall for guests of graduating seniors. Guests will be housed in empty student rooms and will share the building and community bathrooms with students who are staying during Commencement week. These spaces are not air-conditioned and no pets are allowed.

Rooms that are available include singles and doubles and share a common floor bathroom. Rooms can be reserved for Friday night or Friday and Saturday nights.

Check-in Details: *your Carleton grad will be responsible for picking up room keys on Friday, June 13 between 11:00am and 4:30pm.

Saturday, June 14 Check-out Details: Guests must vacate the rooms and return the keys by 5:00pm.

Sunday, June 15 Check-out Details: Guests must vacate the rooms and return the keys by 9:00am.

Linen packets including a pillow, blanket, sheets, towel and a washcloth are provided in the room.

Cancellations and Refunds: All Commencement Guest Housing Reservations must be prepaid by credit card with form reservation. Families who wish to cancel an existing reservation can email reslife@carleton.edu as soon as possible. Residential Life will initiate a refund by contacting the Carleton Business Office. The card holder should see a return of funds within 2-3 business days of the cancellation.

Cost of rooms:

  • $55 per night for a single
  • $85 per night for a double

A confirmation email with your room assignment will be sent out one week prior to Commencement.
