Beginning Spring term 2024, Carleton College students have FREE, 24/7 access to virtual care services with TimelyCare — the virtual health and well-being platform designed for college students.

As part of Carleton College’s partnership with TimelyCare, students have access to no-cost virtual services including:

  • MedicalNow: 24/7, on-demand support for common health issues, including cold, flu, allergies, eye/ear symptoms, urinary symptoms, skin concerns, and more.
  • TalkNow: 24/7, on-demand emotional support to talk about anything, including anxiety,
relationships, depression, and school-related stressors. (Available internationally)
  • Scheduled Medical: Choose the day, time, and medical provider that best works for you.
  • Scheduled Counseling: Choose the day, time, and mental health provider that works best
for you, including evenings and weekends. (12 visits per year)
  • Health Coaching: Meet directly with a health coach to develop healthy lifestyle behaviors, including nutrition, sleep habits, time management, and mindfulness. (Available internationally)
  • Psychiatry: Appointments are available only by direct referrals from SHAC.
  • Self-Care Content: Visit the Self-Care tab for 24/7 access to tools and resources, such as
meditation and yoga sessions, helpful videos, and short articles from experts.

Students have access to TimelyCare services 365 days a year. That means you have access during breaks, after-hours, and any time you need support! Visit timelycare.com/carleton to get started (using your Carleton username and password).

No, SHAC will continue to offer on-campus medical, counseling, and case management appointments Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, including walk-in counseling visits from 12pm-2pm, and psychiatry appointments Mondays and Tuesdays. TimelyCare is intended to enhance existing SHAC services by offering options for access to care when and how it works best for each student. We encourage students to continue to check mySHAC or call 507-222-4080 for appointments with SHAC.
