Influenza and COVID-19 Campus Vaccination Clinics

Carleton College is pleased to offer both the seasonal influenza and updated COVID-19 booster vaccination at the upcoming campus vaccination event, open to all students, staff, and faculty. Participation is optional. Registration for the clinic dates listed below will open soon. Please check back for the signup link.

Clinic Dates & Times (Severance Great Hall):

  • Thursday, October 8th – 12:30pm-6:30pm
  • Friday October 9th – 8:30am-2:30pm
  • Monday October 19th – 12:30pm-6:30pm
  • Tuesday October 20th – 8:30am-2:30pm 

Important Notes:

  • Please confirm your insurance coverage before attending. Coverage for influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations may vary by plan.
  • Without insurance, cost of the vaccinations is as follows:
    • COVID-19: $215
    • Influenza Injection: $54
    • Influenza Nasal Mist: $60
  • Appointments are strongly recommended, as same-day availability may be limited.
  • Homeland Health currently bills to the following insurance companies:
    • Aetna
    • BlueCross BlueShield
    • Cigna
    • HealthPartners
    • Media
    • United Healthcare
    • Wellfleet
  • For Carleton Employees: HR has confirmed that both the influenza and COVID-19 vaccination are covered by Amerihealth insurance.
  • Family members of Carleton employees are welcome to attend the vaccination clinic offered on campus. Please schedule a separate appointment for each attendee.

2026-2027 Monthly Immunization Clinics

Homeland Health Specialists administer vaccinations monthly. Immunization clinics will take place at SHAC from 12:00-2:00 pm on the following Tuesdays, unless noted.

  • September 22
  • October 13 (12:00-1:30 pm)
  • November 10
  • January 12
  • February 9
  • March 2
  • April 6
  • May 11

Please pre-register at least a week before the scheduled dates by calling (507-222-4080), or sending a secure message through your mySHAC patient portal. After you pre-register, you will receive a confirmation email with your arrival time for the immunization(s), and the location of the clinic.

Homeland Health Specialists offer a variety of immunizations:  

  • Influenza (injection or mist): $54 for injection, $60 for mist*
  • COVID-19: $215
  • Tetanus, diphtheria, whooping cough: $100*
  • Hepatitis A: $150 each (series of 2 required to be fully immunized)*
  • Hepatitis B: $150 each (series of 3 is required to be fully immunized)*
  • MMR: $160*
  • Meningococcal: $215*
  • HPV: $430 each (series of 3 is required to be fully immunized)*
  • Varicella: $280

* = Homeland Health Specialists will accept Carleton-sponsored Insurance/Wellfleet (“Student Injury and Sickness Plan”) for these vaccinations, but students may not always be fully reimbursed the above amounts. Prices may be subject to change. Contact SHAC for details.

Immunizations Available at Local Clinics:

If the on-campus immunization clinic dates are inconvenient, you may receive immunizations at the following Northfield Clinics:

Some local pharmacies may also offer some immunizations.

  • You will need to use your insurance for off-campus care.
  • Carleton-sponsored Insurance (“Student Injury and Sickness Plan”) covers most of the above immunizations.  It does NOT cover the Rabies vaccine.

First-Year Students:

Immunization Records Request Process:

To obtain a copy of your immunization record after leaving Carleton:

  • Complete the Immunization Records Request Form.
  • Student Health and Counseling operates on a limited schedule during the summer. To ensure your request is processed in a timely manner, please submit all records requests as early as possible.
  • Student health records are retained for 8 years after the student’s last appointment at Student Health and Counseling (SHAC).
