Event Support

Under the direction of the Campus Services Event Manager and/or Event Coordinator, the position is responsible for set-ups and tear-downs of rooms used for events in conjunction with the custodial setup staff

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Move chairs, tables, staging, easels, lecterns, coat racks, etc. and arrange per the provided set-up instructions
  2. Straighten rooms, lounges, and portable items
  3. Provide courteous assistance to guests
  4. Report any needs, concerns or questions to the Auxiliary Services Special Events Team

AGH Building Monitor

Provide minimum security for the building by being visible and alert to the surroundings, while maintaining the condition of the Alumni Guest House common areas throughout the building. This position would also serve as a liaison and point of contact for incoming Guest Room guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain building security by periodically checking all doors and making sure that they are locked and secured, as well as by providing a visible presence at the main entrance
  2. Check that all cubbies in the lockbox are secured
  3. Assist with arrivals and departures of guest room occupants. This includes distributing keycards, answering questions, providing directions and working with campus departments when they book rooms for visitors
  4. Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the Meeting Room, Library and common areas as needed, including ensuring that lights and the Library fireplace are turned off when the rooms are not in use
  5. Report any loss, damage or concerns to the Building Coordinator
