Monday, October 27
- 2:00 PM – Various Halloween Activities @ The Writing Center
- Craft some spooky black-out poetry with pages from classic horror novels like Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Haunting of Hill House. Create a creepy collaborative poem with magnet word tiles on our whiteboard. If you want to put your scary story skills to the test, submit a piece of flash fiction (100 words or fewer). Readers will vote, and the winner will get a Writing Center mug filled with candy!
- These activities will be available as long as the Writing Center is open, from 2-5pm and 7-10pm Sunday-Thursday and 2-5pm on Friday.
- 5:00 PM – Sugar Skull Decorating Contest – LDC 113
- Register your team by October 26. Limited slots available.

- 12:00 PM – Boo’s, Baes, & Beginnings – Multicultural Center Conference Room (019)
- In this workshop, we discuss how to start a new relationship. Come join us to learn how to set boundaries, intentions, and more! FREE tamales from El Tri will be provided!!!
- Presented by the Office of Health Promotion (OHP).

- 6:00 PM – Dia de Muertos Celebration – Great Hall
- Service and celebration includes Aztec Dancers, stories, memorial altar, and dinner catered by El Triunfo. Co-hosted by LASO and the Office of the Chaplain.
- 6:30 PM – Lilac Hill Trick-or-Treating
- The Lilac Hill RAs invite all members of campus to join them for Lilac Hill-oween! Candy will be readily available, along with hot beverages at Trillium and cotton candy and popcorn at Aster. If you’re in the mood to do a craft, carve pumpkins with Birch House, or get competitive with lawn games at Hickory. Costumes are encouraged and so are spooky vibes. The trek to Lilac will definitely be worth it!
- Event runs from 6:30 – 8:00 PM.
- 9:00 PM – Rocky Horror Picture Show – Nourse Little Theater
Doors will open at 8:30 PM.
Friday, October 31 – HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
- 10:00 AM – Campus-wide Trick or Treating
- Join Carleton Staff for Campus Trick or Treating! Students, faculty, and staff are invited to stop by offices from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday, October 31 for candy and treats.

- 3:00 PM – Brew & Boo Costume Creation & Contest – Hodgson House
- Get into the Halloween spirit at this special Tea Time! We’ll have supplies to create your own costume accessories using headbands and other crafty materials—plus a costume contest where you can show off your creations or rock a look you brought from home. Enjoy tea, treats, and spooky vibes while celebrating with community.
- Hosted by the Gender & Sexuality Center (GSC)
- 7:00 PM – Halloween Open House with President Byerly – Nutting House
- Stop by any time between 7:00 – 8:30 PM for treats and refreshments! Costumes not necessary – but welcome.
- 7:00 PM – Knight Time Halloween Edition – The Rec Center
- Looking for a fun way to start your Halloween evening!? Come visit the Rec Center from 7:00-9:00 pm on Friday, October 31st! There will be snacks (pizza + more), lawn games, climbing and a special feature, TRIVIA!
- We will also have pumpkin carving and decorating to get in the Halloween spirit. And of course, costumes are encouraged!
- Bring your friends and have a great start to your Halloween night!

- 9:00 PM – Costume Contest hosted by SAPB – The Cave

- Cotton candy provided by the Townhouse RAs
- Scary stories and poems being read by Bill North starting at 4:00 p.m.
