Blackout Poetry with the Academic Support Center – 4th Libe
Craft some spooky poetry with the Writing Center! We’ll have pages from classic horror novels like Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Haunting of Hill House to make blackout poetry, as well as magnet word tiles to create a creepy collaborative poem on our whiteboard. All will be available as long as the Writing Center is open.

10:00 AM – The Haunted Hunt Begins!
How does it work?! Each day the @carleton_sao instagram will release a clue leading you to where our spooky ghosts are hidden. Solve the riddle, find the ghosts, and you’ll be entered for a chance to win our grand prize!

Scary Short Story Competition
2 sentences to 1,000 words. Winners will be read aloud on the Late Night Frights show on KRLX on Halloween from 8:30 – 9:30 PM.

There will be a pumpkin carving contest, festive snacks, smaller personalized pumpkins, and the opportunity to come together and enjoy the Halloween season.

Come celebrate DDLM like never before!!! We will have GLOW IN THE DARK face painting starting @4 PM in the Great Hall. Performances will start @6 PM followed by a dinner.

8:00 PM – QTBIPOC Halloween Movie Night – Hasenstab Basement

8:30 PM – Dia de Muertos Dance Party – The Cave
If you would like to have your face painted for this event and missed it at the beginning, don’t fret, because we will be having a session available at the Cave starting at 8:30 PM! Come unleash esos pasos prohibidos with us at The Cave!
Hosted by the Latin American Student Organization (LASO).

Most Creative, Scariest, Best group costume, Most Carleton, and Best Overall

9:30 PM – Hauntcert: Halloween Dance with student DJs – The Cave
As soon as the costume contest is over, stick around for a spooky night of fun led by your friends as our student DJs. There will be pizza and beverages served all night long!
Apply to be one of the DJs!
*No alcohol will be allowed to be brought into the event*
