Mutual Aid Film Fest
This event is a part of the Mutual Aid Art Week. It is a film festival that will be open to submissions from Carleton Students, St. Olaf Students, and Carleton alum. The event will not have a winner, but in the case that we get more than two hours of submissions, the Northfield Arts Guild and Northfield High School Art Class will decided what films will be included in the two hours. The run time cap for each film is 10 minutes. We have already secured reservation for the cinema.
In terms of mutual aid, the cost from applicants to submit a film is $1-5. We will also encourage the audience to donate and place a qr code to donate on the screen. We are asking for open submissions over an email for designs to go with the event so that we can sell posters and stickers at the event. In terms of an intermission, we are hoping to get funding for food. Knowing that SAO doesn't usually fund non-cultural food we are planning on applying for a Tiny Toni.
The event will be Friday, May 16th. Submissions will be due May 5th at 5pm.
