Vaccines and Sustainable Development in the U.S. - Economic, Social, & Political Perspectives

Tue, November 11, 2025 • 5:00pm - 6:00pm (1h) • Hasenstab 105

This event will feature a dynamic panel of Carleton professors from the fields of economics and psychology, who will share their expert insights on vaccines through both political and scientific lenses. Together, they will explore the economic, social, and innovative implications of recent government policies surrounding vaccines and public health. By framing the discussion around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) #3 (Good Health and Well-Being), #8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and #9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), the panel aims to highlight the global significance of vaccine development and distribution in advancing health equity, economic resilience, and scientific progress in today’s multifaceted world.
