Steve, congratulations on your retirement and all of your accomplishments at Carleton over the last
sixteen years. You are a very talented facilities manager who has left his fingerprints all over the
Carleton Campus – both operationally and from a capital improvements perspective. You definitely left
Carleton a better place than when you first arrived on campus. Your personal approach – calm,
authentic, forward thinking, practical – are all hallmarks that led to your accomplishments and to a
better Carlton College. I have truly appreciated our relationship since we stated together at the U in
1991 and the opportunity to work with you on many Carleton projects. Thank you for your trust and
