Teaching Assistants
Alberto is a Philosophy/Latin American Studies double major, born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. This is his first year teaching, and his favorite part about it is showing his students slang and current Latin American popular culture to enhance his student’s understanding of the region. Alberto’s hobbies include reading, composing poetry, passionately discussing trivial things with his roommate, and sleeping.
Mitch is a double major in Environmental Studies and Latin American Studies, with a minor in Public Policy. He went to high school in Denver, Colorado, but currently lives in the Outer Banks in North Carolina. He studied K’iche’ Mayan and Spanish in Guatemala in the summer of 2022 and will be abroad in Argentina and Antarctica this fall. Like every other ENTS major, Mitch loves hiking, skiing, kayaking—just spending as much time outside as possible!
