TWO opportunities for sociology students from the Midwest Sociological Society

The Midwest Sociological Society offers TWO OPPORTUNITIES for sociology students:

  1. Student paper competition for undergrad and grad students – deadline Jan. 11, 2015.
  2. Research poster session for undergrad students – deadline Jan. 18, 2015. 

In the paper competition-

Graduate and undergraduate papers are judged in separate divisions with prizes in each division. Prizes include a waiver of the annual meeting registration fee.  

In the undergrad research poster session –

Undergrad students present their posters at the MSS Annual Meeting. 

Who may enter the paper competition and poster sessions:

  • The paper competition is open to grad and undergrad student members of MSS.
  • The undergrad poster session is open to undergrad student members of MSS.  

Students may join MSS for only $23, or $55 for a three-year membership.

Membership benefits include the opportunity to register for the MSS annual meeting at a reduced rate; and subscriptions to all MSS publications.
