Carleton’s Sociology and Anthropology (SOAN) department explores how different parts of society affect each other. We study how society and environment interact, and we examine how coexisting nations influence each other. Our coursework includes research inside and outside the classroom, and our faculty lead several Off Campus Studies programs throughout the year.
