Join SMPR virtually for an hour as we discuss the popular show "You". We will be specifically looking at digital boundaries and the messages we receive through the show.
Mediating the media intentions are
- Understand the media's influence on our ideas of what is romantic, sexy, and desirable, and our ideas of how relationships and sexual interactions are “supposed to” go
- Recognize the unconscious ways we all participate in and consume messages that reinforce violence-supportive cultural norms

Develop the skills to interpret messages from media content and see the cultural assumptions and norms behind those messages, especially as it relates to sexual violence prevention

Recognize messaging about digital boundaries in media and apply this knowledge to own behavior
