If anyone’s immediate safety is at risk, call Carleton Security at 507-222-4444.

When sexual misconduct or inappropriate behavior occur on campus, it affects our entire community. Because the College cares about the safety of its students and the climate of its community, we encourage you to communicate with us about your concerns—regardless of whether you believe any College policies have been violated. When the College is well-informed about what is happening on campus, decisions can be made to better support and protect our community.

If you prefer to speak to someone face-to-face, please contact the Dean of Students office (507-222-4075) during business hours to be connected to the Title IX Coordinator. If anyone’s immediate safety is at risk, contact Carleton Security at 507-222-4444.

What type of follow-up should I expect?

Upon submitting a Community Concern Form, the College will respond promptly and effectively to your concern.  If you choose to share your name or contact information, you can expect that staff will contact you within one business day (during the academic terms) to make sure that we understand your concern, gather additional information, and discuss next steps and support options for you and others involved.

Additionally, all Carleton Faculty, Staff, and Peer Leaders in The Division of Student Life must report all instances of sexual misconduct of which they have been made aware.
