Workday Wins
Workday was featured in the June 2nd edition of Carleton Today! In case you missed it, here is the article that was written by project Tech Lead and Platform Project Manager, Julie Creamer, in collaboration with our HR and Finance team leads:
Throughout the early stages of the SEAMS project, the team has encountered many opportunities to design, explore, innovate, and in some cases redesign, to ensure the Workday tools are both tailored to Carleton’s unique needs and then maximized to help everyone on campus enjoy a better online experience. The team has flexed their creative muscles and are planning to deliver some exciting new functionality in the months ahead. Here are a few examples of concepts that the team has started to ideate on.
- Built-In Learning Modules | The team is exploring how these modules will offer improvements to campus training, such as onboarding materials for new employees, mandatory safety videos, data security information and more.
- Global Partners | With Workday partners all over the world, such as the office technology provider CDW, Carleton can select some online stores that will be directly integrated into Workday to streamline purchasing.
- Mobile App | Workday comes with an integrated mobile application, which is something we’ve never had with our old system (Colleague/Hub). This app will provide at-your-fingertips service to the campus for activities including time entry and receipt processing.
