An Invitation to Learn, Reflect, & Gather
Dear Alumni & Friends,
On this Juneteenth, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the profound significance of this day. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States—a moment of delayed freedom, resilience, and a continued struggle for justice and equality for Black communities across this country.
In recognition of its meaning, this year we are choosing to provide opportunities to gather in community to learn and reflect at Reunion. We encourage everyone to reflect in your own way—whether through time with community, personal care, or simply being still. Juneteenth is not only a reminder of our past but a call to imagine and work toward a more liberated future.
If you are open to sharing this day with the Carleton community, please consider attending any of the events below.
