The Alumni Admissions Representative Program is a volunteer organization made up of alumni who help to preserve the character and quality of Carleton’s future by interacting with prospective students through individual contacts, college fairs, interviews, and gatherings. Alumni Annual Fund
The Alumni Annual Fund Reunion headquarters is located in Sayles-Hill Great Space.
Stop by to learn a bit about the AAF, pick up one of our amazing buttons, find out how to become a volunteer, or simply make a gift to the Alumni Annual Fund. AAF Staff will be there on Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
Everyone 16 and older is welcome to join the Alumni Choir, which performs at the Sunday morning chapel service and is directed by Lawrence Henry ’76. Rehearsals are held Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning before the service. We have had at least one alum from every Reunion class participate each year in this wonderful collection of voices.
Don’t miss this chance to experience the intellectual stimulation of the Carleton classroom again—without tests or grades. Reunion will feature panel discussions and lectures by faculty members and alumni on cutting-edge scholarship, Carleton initiatives, and other timely issues. Hour-long presentations are offered Friday morning and Friday afternoon.
The Saturday morning Alumni Convocation will feature remarks by Carleton president Alison Byerly and the presentation of the Alumni Association Awards by the president of the Alumni Association. (Nominations for these awards come from classmates, Carleton faculty and staff members, and professional colleagues.) This year’s award recipients are listed on the Reunion website at Awards and Recognition.
Arboretum Service Project
Remember getting away from it all in the Arb? The Arb is still a place for study, recreation, and quiet contemplation, but it needs your support! Help improve the natural habitat of the Arboretum on Friday morning. Past projects have included tree and shrub planting, buckthorn and honeysuckle removal, and planting wildflower seeds. Wear clothes that can get dirty; long pants and closed-toe shoes are advised. Bring your water bottle and pack a pair of work gloves. We will supply gloves for those who do not have them, insect repellent, and additional drinking water. This is a family-friendly activity.
Carleton’s athletic facilities, with the exception of Cowling Gym and pool and West Gym pool, will be available for use during the weekend. Hours for the Recreation Center are as follows:
- Thursday, 6:30 a.–7:00 pm
- Friday, 6:30 am–7:00 pm
- Saturday, 7:00 am–6:00 pm
- Sunday, closed
For safety reasons, children under the age of 18 may not be left unattended in the Rec Center and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

‘C’ Club Hall of Fame Luncheon
Each year the ‘C’ Club inducts new members into the Hall of Fame at a luncheon on Saturday during Reunion. Inductees are chosen based on their success as student varsity athletes. If you wish to attend the luncheon, please sign up when you register for Reunion.
The Carleton Career Center, together with our alumni, parent, and friend partners, strives to provide for our students and recent graduates the information, advice, and opportunities both to explore their professional interests and to secure opportunities as they transition from Carleton. A key part of this effort is the involvement of alumni to create a vibrant, far-reaching, diverse, and deep network of support.
Play a round of golf with classmates and other alumni on Thursday afternoon. The tournament takes place on the Northfield Golf Club course, which measures out at 6,728 yards with a rating at 73.1 and slope of 143. The tournament uses a team scramble format, with flights for men, women, and couples. The cost is $70 per person.
There is a separate registration form for the Carleton Open, which will be available as the same time as the Reunion registration form. A separate list of Who’s Coming (Playing) will also be available online. Those who want to play together can indicate who they will be playing with. Those who don’t indicate players on their registration will be placed on teams by the tournament committee members. The deadline to register for the Carleton Open is Thursday, June 8.
Class photos are taken at scheduled times during Reunion. We ask that only class members appear in the photo.
You can purchase an 8’×12′ print as part of your registration for Reunion. Prints will be sent by mail after Reunion to those that have purchased them. Free digital downloads of your class photo will also be available after Reunion.
Dacie Moses House
With the upcoming renovation of Dacie Moses House (110 Union Street), there will not be scheduled programs or open access to the house during Reunion this year.

Connect with current and retired faculty members at the All-Class Happy Hour on Friday at 4:00 pm. The Reunion Carnival, held at the same time, features a bounce house, face painting, shaved ice, and mini-golf. It will be a great time for the whole family.

Heywood Society Celebration
The annual luncheon honoring members of the Joseph Lee Heywood Society will be held on Friday, June 16. The event begins with a program in Kracum Performance Hall in the Weitz Center for Creativity at 11:30 am with lunch to follow in the Weitz Center Class of 1980 Commons. The Joseph Lee Heywood Society welcomes everyone who has included Carleton College in their estate plans through a will, trust, retirement plan, life insurance policy, or life income gift. Multifaith Service of Remembrance and Celebration
This non-denominational service in Skinner Chapel provides the opportunity for reflection and celebration of Carleton’s community ties and honors all alumni who have died in the past year. Each class will light a candle in remembrance of those who have passed since their graduation. This program also features alumni speakers, musicians, and the Alumni Choir.
Oral History Program
The Carleton Oral History Program adds a robust layer of history to the College Archives by interviewing faculty, staff, alumni, and retirees. The 25th and 50th Reunion classes are interviewed in groups during Reunion and the interview records remain in the Archives. The interviews are videotaped and audio recorded by experienced volunteer interviewers, who prepare by reading Carletonians and yearbooks from the interviewees’ eras. The group interviews usually begin with a simple question about first impressions of Carleton and then go on from there, weaving in stories about campus events, professors, classmates, the climates of the times. No preparation is needed — the conversation takes off on its own as soon as the first question is posed!
Parade of Classes
The Parade of Classes is a moving Reunion tradition. Alumni and family members are both spectators and participants as a visual display of Carleton’s history unfolds. On Saturday at 9:45 am, alumni, guests, and families line up in order of class year around the Bald Spot, with the senior classes near Sayles-Hill and the younger classes stretching toward the Chapel. The parade begins as the most senior alumni move past the cheering younger classes on their way to Alumni Convocation in the Chapel. The next youngest class then falls in behind.
Perlman Teaching Museum
The Perlman Teaching Museum, which opened in September 2011 in the Weitz Center for Creativity, comprises two beautiful spaces: the lofty Braucher Gallery and the more intimate Kaemmer Family Gallery.
