Hannah was a Student Research Partner (SRP) with CAMS Associate Professor Laska Jimsen over a winter break while she was a Carleton student. The research they did in partnership didn’t directly alter Hannah’s direction, but their time together solidified her interest in cinema and media studies and helped to pave the way to career as an artist who teaches.
Hannah went on to get an MFA, and she reconnected with Prof. Jimsen as her program assistant for the CAMS off-campus studies program in Winter 2019. A Visiting Assistant Professor at St. Olaf for the 2019-2020 academic year, Hannah continues to make connections between her time as an SRP and her experimental methods of video production courses.
