Emma was a Student Research Partner (SRP) with Professor Clara Hardy (Classics) during the summer of 2012. They worked together on an article that emerged out of Clara’s teaching and research: “Pudor, Liberalitas and Amicitia: Blocking Forces and Economics in Terence’s Adelphoe.”
After Carleton, Emma went on to earn her Masters and PhD in Classics at the University of Washington. She is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Classical Studies at the University of Arkansas.
Humanities research has encouraged me to continually draw connections between diverse communities, and by critically engaging with other cultures, I am able to reflect on the social and moral values of the present.
