Roger Jackson, John W. Nason Professor of Asian Studies and Religion, emeritus, gave a lecture via Zoom on “Buddhist Emptiness and Buddhist Truths” to students in a seminar on “Buddhist Emptiness” at Guilford College, in Greensboro, North Carolina. The professor of the seminar, Eric Mortensen ’93, was a member of a seminar on the same topic co-taught by Jackson and the late professor Bardwell Smith over thirty years ago at Carleton, and Mortensen continues the tradition at Guilford.
