Comps Appointment

Our comps consultants are specialized, experienced tutors who are senior Statistics majors. Once you have acquired your data, they can help with many stages of the data lifecycle, from formatting and wrangling, to troubleshooting software and code, to visualizing and writing up results accurately and concisely. Appointments allow the comps consultants to prepare for the meeting, offer undivided attention, and meet in multiple stages if needed.

Check out the appointment calendar for upcoming slots with one of our comps consultants. If none are available, please check back in a few days or come to Drop-In Tutoring.

If you are looking for a private tutor for coursework instead of comps, please fill out this form and a staff member will get back to you shortly.

Weekly Data Drop-Ins

Working with data and not sure where to go? Every week, faculty and staff who are experts in different aspects of working with data hold mid-week drop-in hours in the QRC. You’ll often find the Digital Humanities folks, academic technologists, data librarians, and the QRC Director there, all in one place. Check out the QRC Events calendar for this term’s schedule. These events are open to the entire Carleton community.

Monthly Graph Clinics

Are you a staff member who collects or reports on data for your office? The first Tuesday of every month during common time, the QRC Director is available to consult on communicating about data more effectively. Staff can bring data, graphs, previous presentations, or reports, or just come to brainstorm new data-related projects. Drop by the QRC or Zoom.
