This lunch examined the possibility of creating a digital studies minor at Carleton. The event was led by Assistant Professor of Computer Science Eric Alexander ’10, Assistant Director of the Humanities Center for the Digital Humanities and Lecturer in History Austin Mason, Reference and Instruction Librarian for Humanities and Digital Scholarship Sarah Calhoun ’01, and Academic Technologist for Instructional Technology Celeste Sharpe. Participants discussed the potential components and ramifications of such a decision, providing input on the relationship of a potential digital studies minor to other academic programs at Carleton. Questions of ethics and access in relationship to digital scholarship further guided the discussion.
