Dr. Megan Dennis presents to Professor Ottaway’s class

Professor of History Susannah Ottaway and Assistant Director of the Humanities Center for the Digital Humanities and Lecturer in History Austin Mason hosted curator Dr. Megan Dennis for a week-long visit in conjunction with their history course, History 235: “Bringing the English Past to (Virtual) Life.” Dr. Dennis, curator of Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse Museum in Norfolk, UK, has worked collaboratively with Professors Ottaway and Mason since 2015.

Part of the coursework for students in the class involved creating digital materials that could be used in the museum’s exhibits. Dr. Dennis worked collaboratively with students during her visit to help students gain a deeper understanding of the museum and to determine what materials students could create that would be most helpful for museum staff.
