Feel free to consult anyone in the department on career-related matters. We have a number of books that describe a variety of psychology-related careers in the Student Lounge in front of Olin 115.
Keep in mind that if you’re planning to enter the workforce or thinking about graduate school, you are strongly encouraged to meet with your adviser, other faculty, and Career Center staff for personalized guidance. The Career Center is an important source of information and its Pathways program provides a guide for visualizing what Psychology alums are doing with their major. The Office of Student Fellowships is also a good source of information.
Take a look at this recent panel of PSYC alums who spoke with students on February 23, 2023, about how their psychology degrees prepared them for work in fields other than psychology! Ken Allendoerfer ’93 is the manager at the Human Factors Branch at DOT/FAA.
