The Government & Nonprofit Career Fair allows candidates to pursue professional opportunities and internships at all levels of government and nonprofit agencies. The average participation is about 100 organizations. The job fair is open only to students and alumni from participating colleges and universities, including Carleton College.

- Transportation provided with registration by Wed., Oct. 21.
- A Carleton Career Center staff member will drive a college vehicle to the fair. We will depart from the front of Willis Hall at 10:00 a.m. and expect to arrive at the fair at 11:00 a.m. We will depart from the event at 1:00 p.m. and expect to return to campus around 2:00 p.m. This is flexible, though, based on students' needs. A confirmation email will be sent before the event.
- Lunch will not be provided.

- Filter and search for agencies by various categories such as Job Types, Majors, Industry, etc.
How to prepare to get the most out of the event:
- Review the participating employer information prior to the event and do some initial research on each company before attending.
- Give some thought to the questions that you plan to ask the employers.
- Create and practice a 30-second elevator pitch to introduce yourself to the employers.
- Update your LinkedIn profile and résumé, and bring copies of your résumé with you.
- Take notes and follow up with the employers on any questions afterward.
